So I am now a member of the jobless community. I have just graduated from college! I may not have gotten my certificate yet but still! I had my last assessment on Friday, hence the neglect of my site. :/

I have also gotten sick! Just my luck. I guess my body just hasn’t had the time to rest or get sick for a long time, and I’d just always been getting only a few hours of sleep every day.

I have had to postpone my ice skating plans with Gavin to tomorrow. I hope I feel better by then… if not I’ll just meet up with him to hang out.

My domain is expiring next month. I have no idea if I want to stick with this one anymore. I love the name of it and all, but it’s long and gets tiring to type. :/ I was considering changing it to eight59.net instead, it’s short and easy, plus it’s my birth time. :p What do you guys think? Some opinions would be nice.

Also, does anyone know of a cheap and reliable domain registrar? Namecheap has gotten a tad expensive (I paid US$7.98 and now it’s US$9.29), and what with the conversion, it would be quite a bit more for me to pay.

I don’t know about you, but I upgraded my WordPress a couple of days ago and I must say, I really love the slickness of the new design! If you haven’t upgraded already, you should. Though, I’m still not used to the Plugins link being on the far right yet.

College has been rather stressful… I graduate next month, and have a FYP and two minor projects to complete by Stage 2 Assessment at the end of this month. Majoring in Publication Design is not as easy as it seems! D: I’m sure I’d be able to complete everything by then, but it would be a bit of a mad rush, seeing as I had procrastinated for the past few weeks. My bad, I can never not procrastinate. ><;; I am making progress now though, so hopefully, with fingers crossed, I’d finish everything by the 14th, as planned. -crosses fingers-

I’m still not too sure about what to do after I graduate. It’s either I go look for a job or continue with a degree. I want to do my degree overseas but that would be really expensive and my parents definitely can’t afford that, so I’m hoping I’d manage to get a scholarship (not a high chance, seeing as my results aren’t that good), if anything. Otherwise, I’d just get a job in hopes of funding for Uni… If only I was rich, or if someone would sponsor me, haha.

Thank you to everyone for being nice to me about the breakup. We are still on talking terms, despite things getting even more complicated and confusing, haha. We both love (each other) so much, but several problems need to be solved/gotten over, if we want to give the relationship a third try. Whoever said LDRs were easy, huh? :p

This afternoon, me and Reyna were just hanging out online and she sent me a link, shocked that someone had actually uploaded 71 minutes of video. Upon looking further, we then found ourselves trying to help the film makers to raise money for their film production, only to realise they had already made their target (raising more than their target, even). We planned to watch the film together once it was done loading. The film that I am talking about, is called Four Eyed Monsters.

WHAT IS THE MOVIE ABOUT?
It’s about our lives. Being alone in a city, wanting to be in a relationship but feeling there are no good ways to start a connection and then breaking out of a rut, jumping feet first into something deeper and crazier than either of us expected.

You should really check it out because not only was it “nominated for two spirit awards and won the undiscovered gems Sundance Audience Award” (For more about the film, check this out.), it is also very inspiring and creative. I love how they had their dates, it made me want to try out future dates like that.

On a small side note, me and Will are over. Just a little over our ninth monthsary, we’re over. The past (more than a) week has been an upsetting one, but life goes on as usual. I have mopped about, rushed shit for assessments, got annoyed with my family over the slightest things and cried like a freaking tap that’s been left on. However, we are still on talking terms (though, I’m not sure how good that is for my emotional health) and I feel better having him to talk to than not (which I hope isn’t weird, considering people I know break contact with ex boyfriends to get over them). This is beyond fucked up, but like I said, life goes on.

So… I have been very busy these past few weeks! I will categorise them so you don’t have to comment on the whole post, just pick one that you like.

Open House
College got even busier, and to top that off, I joined in as a Student Ambassador for NAFA Open House 2008 (right at the bottom of the page) which happened from January 31st to February 2nd. Though it was tiring, it was really fun! Of course, we took loads of pictures. xD Those are only on the last day, though.

Lent
This year, I decided to join in with giving up something for Lent together with Reyrey. I chose chocolates and crisps. However, as it was around the Chinese New Year period, and my mum baked chocolate chip cookies, I ended up eating one and realised after that I shouldn’t have. But since I already did, I decided to just stick with the crisps one.

Chinese New Year
Another busy time! On the eve, after I came back from college, I spring cleaned my table, lol. It wasn’t fun. D: But I did it anyway. Then there was the traditional reunion dinner, which I always look forward to because there’s always good stuff, haha. My dad’s awesomely good roasted chicken, abalone, prawn, fish, vegetables… just an overall delicious spread.
On the first day on Chinese New Year, we go visit the eldest of the family first, and that would be my maternal grandmother so we usually spend the whole first day there. ^^ Second day, we met my paternal relatives for dinner and spent the third day at home since we had no plans. On the forth, we visited my paternal grandmother’s sister with my paternal relatives.
After which, I went out with my cousins. It was nice, because I hardly ever get to see them in a year. After which, I was told that my younger cousin reads my blogs. And told one of the cousins that I was out with, about me breaking up with Will. I mean, honestly. What the fuck? It’s not that I’m saying she can’t read it, she can, but what is her problem? She doesn’t have the right to tell others, I do. It’s my life, and my decisions! Jesus! ><
On the brighter side though, I got quite a good sum of money this year. S$390 in red packets, haha.

Love Is The Movement Day
This is on 13th February of every year, a day where we all write the word “love” on our arms in support of To Write Love On Her Arms. TWLOHA is an organisation, a work in progress, for broken people, so that they may find love. It is around this period of time where suicide rates are the highest. I cannot explain this well enough, so you should watch this to get a much better idea of what TWLOHA is really about. If you already knew of TWLOHA, did you write love on your arms on that day?

Valentine’s Day
For me, I had a rather crap Valentine’s Day. It was not because I was lonely, it wasn’t because I have a boyfriend in the UK, half the world away from me. It was because my friends had their SO with them, while I was alone. And to top things off, they always joke about it, even when it’s not Valentine’s Day. It really hurts and upsets me, but I don’t know how to tell them to stop.
However, today, I received a package from the love! It consisted of a Valentine’s Day card and a The Used messenger bag. That pretty much made up for the crappy day. :p Though, I’m not thrilled that he spent money on me. ><

Final Year Project
I am completely dead for this one. ._. My progress is so bad, I’m about to cry! >< I’m really really stressed up as well. There’s just so little time left till assessments next Tuesday and I really haven’t gotten a lot done. I’m not planning on sleeping tonight, in hopes of doing as much as I can so wish me luck. :p

So… college started again this week. It has been rather relaxing, I guess. It being the first week and not having much to do… yet, anyway. I do have some homework already though… And I’m learning some more stuff that I really like, publications wise, so that’s really good. Also learning some video related stuff, I’m excited about that too. We all got separated into our majors so we have new classes and lecturers. I like having new classmates. I love meeting new people, in general. ^^ Though, I mainly stick to two people whom I’d already known through old classmates. One of whom I got closer to after going to an FOB gig with.

Hopefully this semester would be awesome ones, though I’m sure I’d end up being very stressed along the way and not update much, haha. There are so many things that I want to do, that I already don’t have enough time to do. The supposed layout is still not finished and I’m not happy about that. :/ But I suppose, college should be put first, for the remaining 13 weeks of college. It’s the most important semester of all, seeing as I have to do my FYP. I pray I’d get awesome grades and get hired on the spot. :p

Resolutions wise, I’d already broken a few, haha. Such as, going to bed at 11pm daily so as to get enough sleep for the next day of lessons and also going to exercise at least twice a week to get fit. Ah well, I usually make them for fun anyway, because I know I’d never follow through. xD What about you guys? Broken any resolutions yet? :p

On the whole boyfriend topic in the last post, I took him back so the crisis is, well, quite over somehow. For the moment, anyway. :p I decided that I’d rather be happy than dwell over something that can never be changed and be very unhappy. And the few days after we got back together, it was like the honeymoon period all over again, lol. That’s how much in love I am with that boy. ♥

Christmas is fast approaching, what are your plans? As usual, I’m heading over to my cousin’s house where annually, they invite church friends and family over. It’s more of a gathering than a party sort of thing, though I would’ve quite liked a party, lol. I also haven’t gotten any shopping done. Hadn’t any time, but I’m sure no one minds late presents. I mean, afterall, you’re still getting presents, what’s to be unhappy about? Lol. :p To be honest, the past couple of years, it has never felt like Christmas at all. Last year, I was preoccupied with neverending college projects. This year, I have internship around the holiday period (which is ridiculous). What holiday are you talking about? >< Though next year… I can SO see myself having a ball of a time. It will be a good year, haha. I would have graduated by then!

On the topic of holidays and presents, I had for the longest time, thought about getting myself an iPod Video but decided on a PSP in the end because it had games, video and music capabilities. But only a couple of days, I checked up on Apple and realised that they had three new iPods! I hardly ever check up on new stuff, so I was kind of slow in knowing, lol. I had my eye on the iPod Touch and was utterly mesmerised by the guided tour. However, after thinking for a while, and comparing the new iPod Classic and the iPod Touch, I’d rather go for the iPod Classic 160GB for the storage space rather than the design of the iPod Touch. For that, it would cost me around S$600 as compared to around S$700 for a 16GB iPod Touch. That’s 10 times less storage space for S$100 more! Outrageous, isn’t it? Lol. So I’ve concluded that the iPod Classic would be better worth for money. Hopefully there’d be post Christmas sales so I can get it ASAP and for a cheaper price, or I’d be using up half of my internship pay!

Wow, many things have happened since I last posted! I just never had the time to put in a new entry. ><;;

Hmm, first the Linkin Park concert! It was freaking awesome! I really enjoyed myself. ^^ I’m sure Gav did too, lol. We were both singing along the whole time. Well, I know I sang along to every song. ! Everyone sang along as well! The place was sold out! It wasn’t very “mosh pit”y which I liked a lot. It was more like a karaoke session. xD <3 They were selling merch outside and I wanted to get a shirt but the one I wanted was sold out by the end of the concert. And I didn’t get the other shirts that were still available. :/ Instead, me and Gav got the empty CD and download code for the audio of the concert. It will be available in December. ^^ I have to say that Linkin Park delivers. <3 They are AMAZING on stage, plus Chester and Mike are funny people. xD

As for my projects, I managed to complete all of them (not like I had a choice, lol), and assessments went pretty alright. Lecturers said something along the lines of me having room for improvement for my FYP so I’m going to have to try harder next term, which I most definitely will.

Internship wise, I got two interviews, was accepted at both and decided on one to work at, haha. I started work on Monday and I have to say, the job scope wasn’t really quite as I thought. I didn’t think I’d have to deal with customers. I mean, it’s not a bad thing to deal with customers, I just have this phobia. When I worked as a part time cashier, one of my duties was to answer the phone (which is ridiculous because cashiers deal with money, not phones -rolls eyes-). Sometimes, customers would scold me when it was NOT my fault at all! Geez. Outrageous people. Other than that, internship has been quite okay. Other than the fact that I have not yet gotten enough sleep to cover the 3 days that I stayed up rushing projects… I can’t wait to get my PSP with my paycheck though! :p

I say this because I’ve been crashed and burned so many times but it still hurts a lot every time. I don’t know, I always seem to be in this kind of situation. I must be cursed or something, lol.

Well, on a brighter note (and also because I don’t want to think about it now), I’m going to see Linkin Park with Gav in November! Will wanted to pay for me and I gave up arguing with him over it so he assumes he won. -_- Have you met a sillier boy, lol. I still love him. ^^

My sister is coming back in a couple of weeks too! I can’t wait! I’ve missed her so much. And it had been hard talking on MSN when we’re both busy. :/ But it’s going to be good! I’m so going to take her shopping, lol. I’d be having my internship around then so most probably after work or the weekends. I’m sure we’ll work something out.

The last time I mentioned that I adopted a bunch of a1 FLs from Louise, they have since been transferred over to my domain and approved by TFL.

I also talked about Snoe, but forgot to mention that she got allergic reactions to the wood shavings that I got so the moment I noticed, I quickly changed the shavings for toilet paper instead, lol. She has gotten better, but I still am going to get better bedding for the little squirt. She’s a right weirdo, this one, lol. She likes to sleep, eat, poo and pee in her wheel. -_- And she sleeps upside down, the weirdo.

I put her in that while I cleaned out her cage and whenever I do, she likes to lick the sides of the tank. -_- Like that was going to get her out of it, lol. She’s really cute though, isn’t she? She’s gotten fat-assed since I got her. LOL.

College is still the same old, same old. Though I did feel a bit relieved today after consulting my lecturer about my AD project, lol.

I must stop apologising for not blogging. >< I hadn’t the time, or mood, to blog… :/ And I’m sure you don’t want to hear me drone on about my mundane life.

Really, nothing interesting has happened since my birthday. Everything went as planned, except for the drinking part. We were all dead tired by then so we went home after dinner instead. The following Monday, me and Lo exchanged presents because her birthday was on that Monday. Three days after mine, lol. Another friend had a birthday just two days before mine. October babies ftw! xD So come present exchange time, I realised that Lo and several of my classmates got me a hamster, lol! Instead of one baby, I now have two. ><;;

I had two talks after classes today. One was on the creative industry, while the other about internship. The first, by AdWOW!, was pretty alright, not that boring as I thought it would be, lol. The other by Dr Adam Goh, was downright boring, if I might say so… >< I’m sure he’s not a boring person, but the talk… Gosh. And not to mention the fact that I have to do a report, worth 40% of my workbook, on the talks for a module. I recorded them on my phone though, so just in case I can’t remember points, I can listen to the recordings. xD Brilliant, innit. I’m sure they’re making us do the report just so we’d turn up. ;/

Life has begun. :/

-le sigh- I have been dreading this day. The day that I turn older. The day that I become an old fart. T_T Okay, so I’m just 19 today, big deal… but I’d much rather be 18 forever. T_T …or 21 forever. T_T -sniffs- Then again, as long as one remains young at heart, and still looks youthful, age is just a number, right? It’s not like I can do anything about it, lol.
