I’m sure by now, most (if not all) of you would have heard of the Austrian case. The Daily Mail has a bunch of articles on it, if you are interested. There are more details revealed in several of the articles. I’m sure Google would come up with even more articles. Since everyone has been talking about it, what are your views on it?

I think that it’s very “Wow.” because no one would have suspected it but what astounds me is that her mother had no clue at all. I mean, would you not be suspicious if your daughter went missing and said she “did not want to be found” because she joined a cult? I have several mixed opinions on it, but the main thing is, I think that what the father did was wrong (who wouldn’t, right?). Sure, he can have some wild fantasies and stuff, but to have had carried it out? That scares me.

I think it’s a very strange case. How could the mother not have known what her husband did? I don’t get it. And how where they allowed to adopt three of the children? How come nobody figured out what was going on there?

I’ve actually been pretty interested in this case, to be completely honest I think the mother was in denial. How else would you explain the other children she was taking care of? She couldn’t have just “forgotten” that she didn’t give birth to them.

I suppose it would have been good for you to have summarized what happened or at least linked to an actual article, cause I haven’t heard what you’re talking about. But you’re right when you say the mother should have been more attentive and realized something was wrong when the child went missing. People can be such airheads.

I think there’s more to it than what’s being shared with the media. I mean, the mother must have been brainwashed because like you said, shouldn’t the mom have been suspicious and wondered why her daughter would just leave like that? It’s a disgusting story. I hate seeing that man’s picture on the news. How creepy.

Yeah we heard about this. Man its just… insane that you could do that to your daughter, and your wife! How devastating would it have been for her to hear that her daughter ran away to join a cult and didn’t want to talk to them? ugh… its sickening.

It’s hard to believe what happened there. Her very own father none the less, it makes me sick to think of what some people are capable of.
